Having collected and sold jazz and big band recordings for many, many years I decided to use my collection and connections to help people to keep aware of the 'scene''. Also to encourage people to experience the wonderful phenomenon of the big band; and perhaps try a concert or two and start or enhance an existing collection.

Married with two lovely daughters and hiding away in the centre of England.

I have also been putting whatever I have to offer at the disposal of a major youth jazz orchestra for 35 plus years. I also presented a big band jazz program on radio until the owners decided to institute a pop music policy.

My hobbies are collecting CDs etc and hearing live music. I also find show business biographies irresistable. A particular fondness: I read about old time performers, typically I have a fondness for Jack Benny.
